All Work and No Play...

I was on a natural high from competing in my first running event, and ever the optimist, I went in to work the following day, bouncing with energy and wanting to share my success story with the team. I had a boss that never said Hello or Good Morning, and most of the team there were constantly bitching and back stabbing, it was a drain on my energy sources, so of course, my enthusiasm was not well received.

My job was in Business Development and Sales. In this role, it felt like I had to prove where I was every second, and had a real battle to get out and see customers and actually do my work! Still, I only had a few more days until I returned back to Greece, so I just bit my tongue and tried to get on with it. The job was supposed to be working from home, but I was made to go into the office every day, which meant almost a daily 80 mile around trip. My motivation for the gym and running started to wane. I was getting up at 5.30am and not getting home until gone 6.30pm, and when you dislike your job, it is even harder to stay positive. I kept focusing on Kefalonia and how lucky I was. I was becoming crabby though, my personality changed and Ilias picked up on this. He then started to feel guilty and this spiral started to affect our relationship, which is never good! I needed to figure out what was best for me at the end of the day, but so many decisions to make, and unfortunately, as a typical Sagittarius woman, I let my heart rule my head.
